Dancing Histor(y)ies Tour Summer 2024

The Dancing Histor(y)ies tour has wrapped up after four weeks of vibrant performances and cultural exchanges across Viminacium, Mérida, and Tharros during the summer of 2024. The tour brought together performers, local partners, and communities, creating a common space for artistic and cultural dialogue.

Workshops and visits allowed the cast to connect deeply with local communities, sharing and learning from their stories and traditions while local partners played a crucial role in bringing the project to life, with their dedication shining through in every performance.

We would like to say THANK YOU to everyone who made this possible

A few comments from our audience:

“I saw your performance in Tharros last July. I just want to say: thank you! The music, the choreography, the skill and expressive power of the gestures and faces of the dancers. You have transported me back in time to a place so sacred and steeped in history as Tharros and especially the square of sacrifices. You have told a story of the past that is also today’s history. love, struggle, passion, suffering, goodbyes, and encounters. You have told a timeless story, valid always, in every age. Thank you again for making me emotional. And I think today, more than ever, we need to feel emotions. Thank you again and hope to see you again!”

"This was once in a lifetime experience and you left me speechless. Dancers were incredible and the whole atmosphere was outstanding."

"A brilliant performance by three dancers in the unforgettable setting of Portico Del Foro (…) the big surprise of the evening was the musical accompaniment from sounds collected during the visits to the heritage sites where the Dancing Histories Festival takes place. Something that can be experienced individually differently from the 3 musical tracks of your choice. It's been an amazing start!", Mapa das Ideias
