Israel Aloni at TEH Camp Meeting 98 in Epanomi, Greece

Israel Aloni will lead a Roundtable session and participate in TEH Camp Meeting 98 (10-13 October 2024). The Camp will take place in the scenic landscapes of Epanomi, 30 minutes from Thessaloniki, Greece, and is hosted by Fix in Art. The central theme of the event, inspired by the Pontic Greek concept of "Argatia," focuses on communal support and intergenerational knowledge sharing. Through this lens, participants will explore topics such as communal conditions for freedom and sustainability and the role of festivals in building communities.

Regarding their role as the researcher of Cultural Transformation Movement Project (CTMP), an international cooperation project co-funded by Creative Europe and coordinated by Trans Europe Halles, Aloni will hold the annual Roundtable Workshop. The Roundtable in Epanomi will be the 2nd in this series.

In this session, Aloni will work with the attendees and address the notion of community and in what way we think about and/or with the community when we reflect on our role and actions in society.

One of the key elements of CTMP is community as both the origin of and the destination for art and culture making. The session will be facilitated through collective modalities of knowledge generation, sharing, and reflection.
